Making our way through Texas, June 7, 2010

We pulled away from Shreveport at 7:00am. We made several stops in the first few hours. Lexi had her only bit of car sickness the entire trip just outside of Dallas. Thankfully we were prepared for that with a trash can close by. We drove through several Texas down pours, stopping at a motel in Amarillo at 6:00pm.

We decided to try the Big Texan Steak Ranch we had seen signs advertising for the past 6 hours. They offered free limo rides to and from the hotel, the kids thought that was really cool. They were very entertained by all the excitement of people trying to eat the 72oz steak in less than an hour. No one finished the dinner while we were there.

They earned ice cream by being wonderful on the drive and eating a good dinner.
