Our final day on the road, July 8, 2010

Watch our for these 3 amazing kids!

We left Amarillo at 8:45am and drove to New Mexico before stopping. We had lunch at Dairy Queen, gassed up and got back on the road.

Being that we had done something really cool in all 9 states we drove through we needed to find something to do in New Mexico.

We stopped to hike around at the Capulin Volcano National Monument.

There were swarms of ladybugs all around the park.

The kids giggled as tons of ladybug crawled on them.

We hiked the 1 mile loop around the volcano.

The views were beautiful! A big change from all the flat lands we had seen over the past month.

After the much needed hour and a half hike, we got back in the car. I enjoyed a rain storm while the kids slept for 2 hours. It was a COLD 40 degrees when we got home at 7:30pm and were all SUPER happy to see Troy.

30 days, 9 states, 60 hours driving, 3400 miles, tons of time with family = ABSOLUTELY AMAZING ROAD TRIP WITH MEMORIES TO LAST A LIFETIME
