June 24, 2010
Allyson, Brian, Kylie, Taylor and Ellie headed home early this morning.
We loved spending time with them and were all sad to see them go.
We were amazed to find the beaches pretty clean. There was some tar that stuck to our feet but it was not all over as it had been the evening before.
The waves were still nice of boogie boarding.

I can remember going many places on my grandfather, Popi's boat that sat in his yard for years.
Miles spent some time jumping the waves.
Early evening, the kids were swimming in the pool, while dinner was on the grill. We heard the oil was coming on shore so we went down to see. The waves and high tide brought in the most tar balls we had seen yet. It's hard to see in this picture but the lines of brown dots are tar balls.

Rainy Day Tuesday, June 22
Cloudy and rainy out this morning. We went to Waffle House for brunch. Did a little souvenir shopping.
Cleared up in the afternoon. We all met at LuLu's for dinner. They have a great play area for the kids.
Know one like a sister!
Grams and Pops had all the grand kids sit at their table. Us adults at the other table enjoyed a dinner without too many interruptions. We did have one incident when Lexi got her arm caught in the back of the chair, but nothing greasing her arm with mayo couldn't fix.

We all had a great time at LuLu's!
Again, after the kids were in bed, we took a walk on the beach. This time we took Corrie and Garrett to show them the glowing jellyfish but we did not see any. Following Troy's lead, we caught crabs with our hands. We laughed so hard as we caught the crabs, screamed and threw them at each other trying to get rid of them. Good Times!

A nice comfy place for a rest.
Playing this hard wears you out!
Pops and Dad always seem to be the ones digging.

At Rowan's request, Uncle Troy put on a magic show.
Watching the sunset from the balcony.
Where did that coin go?
Wow, he's magic!

All the cousins hanging together.
After the kids were in bed, Troy and I walked on the beach. The moon was shinning bright. We saw TONS of itty bitty jelly fish glowing green in the sand. It was super cool, but made me worry about swimming with jellyfish the next day.
