Happy Thanksgiving 2010

We had a great Thanksgiving visiting family in Kansas.

Getting pool tips from Grandpa Mike.

To Grandpa Mike's delight, Miles finally got to meet Great Grandpa!

Great Grandma was glad to give Miles a nice long hug.

Four generations of boys!

We were all extremly thankful to be spending this Thanksgiving with Kansas family!

Great Wolf Lodge

Aunt Karen and Uncle Lyle had a special treat planned for the us. We spent our 1st night in Kansas at The Great Wolf Lodge.
It has a HUGE indoor water park.

We surprised Grandpa Mike with our visit.

Cousins came to play at the Lodge too.

Miles enjoyed stacking the tubes as people got out of the lazy river.

At the clock tower after the morning story time.

Thanks Karen and Lyle, that was a wonderful treat!

Thanksgiving Vacation Part 1

The 1st part of our trip was in Iowa, visiting our good friends, Jason, Kelly, Jadie and Carson.
We left after school on Friday and drove the 10 hours to Iowa, arriving around 3:00am. The kids did great on that leg of the trip, sleeping most of the way. When we got their, Jeremiah and Miles went right back to sleep, but Lexi had other ideas. We woke Jadie up when we put Lexi in her room and those girls were thrilled to see each other. They stayed awake talking and giggling until almost 5:00am!!
On Saturday, the kids enjoyed playing in the back yard and around the house.

The leaves are much bigger in Iowa.

Sunday, Kelly took us to her fire station were the kids played on every truck.

Miles even tried out driving.

Monday, we went geocaching.

This geocache was in an old train that had derailed.

We also made a trip to the Omaha Zoo.

This was the best zoo I have ever been to.

We had a great few days!!

Halloween 2010

The Simpson's

Thanks to Rachel for styling Jeremiah's hair on 3 different nights.

It actually took 2 people. One to put in the glue and hold up the hair and one to blow dry.

Grandma stopped by just in time to help with the makeup.

Our 1st time dressing up was on Saturday, the 24th for pumpkin patch and trick-or-treating at the Outlet Mall.

We had a blast and were a BIG hit!

A Vaille kids' tradition, making Frankenstein marshmallows for the school parties.

Every year they get better at this, which is great for Troy and I.

Miles' class party

Miles worn is Batman outfit to his school party since the rest of us would not be dressed up and I figured most of his friends would not know who Maggie Simpson is.

All dressed up for the school carnival.

Miles with his "girlfriend", Naya. She asked him right away why he was dressed as a girl. We told her to hush, he is "the baby"

Troy LOVED this homemade R2D2 costume.

Jeremiah and Magnus

carving pumpkins

Miles discovered that his pumpkins mouth was large enough to fit Dad's small pumpkin inside.

Night 3, ready to go to a Halloween party.

Our neighbor dressed as Duff Man. We took pictures before going out.
Troy and I won the $250.00 cash prize for the best costume!!

Heading out Trick-or-Treating.
The kids decided on this our 4th night of Halloween, they did not want to go to all the trouble to do their hair and make-up.

A beautiful sunset for Trick-or-Treating
