Cub Scout Campout

The 2010 Cub Scouts Camp Out took place July 22 through the 24th.

A nice spot, with a great view, close to home.

Lexi hanging with other sisters. We visited camp for a bit each day, but Lexi, Miles and I stayed home and let the big boys be Scouts.

Jeremiah with his buddy Sam, from his Den.

Making new friends from all over Colorado.

Sunset on the lake.

Raising the flag at the beginning of the day.

Waiting their turn to canoe.

The fire department came out and entertained the boys.

Cub Busters - Do you get wetter walking, running or dancing through rain. The firemen created the rain. Here the boys are walking through the hose water.

Running

He got soaked. They determined you get wetter running because you splash more water on yourself. So the next time you get caught in the rain, don't run, walk, maybe even enjoy the rain a little.

You can you tell by the amount of dirt on a Scout's face if his Mom is camping with him or not.

The boys, big and small, all love the BB guns and bow and arrows.

Jeremiah was sweet to his brother and sister when we stopped by.

One day, you'll be a Scout too Miles.

Troy is a fabulous Den Leader! They both love being Scouts and it is wonderful to watch them doing what they love together.

Camping weekend in Montezuma

We camped in our favorite spot in Montezuma the weekend of July 16.

Cooling off in the river.

Exploring around the mines close by is one of our favorite past times.

I can not get enough of these views.
