Jeremiah's class played many fun games.

Happy 5th Birthday Miles!

On December 12, Miles turned 5.
Five, how is that possible. Only yesterday you were the sweetest little newborn who loved to snuggle your Mom while staring at the Christmas tree. Now you have grown into a caring, funny, friendly little boy who thankfully still loves to snuggle your Mom. You love to build Legos with Dad, play trains and games with Jeremiah, and let Lexi read you a bed time story. You love the outdoors, whether we are skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, sledding, hiking, camping or just playing in the backyard, you love being outside. You enjoy going to half day preschool, although we both look forward to our "Mommy and Miles Mondays" when just the two of us get to hang out. You are learning the sounds letters make and love books. You are a caring friend to everyone at school. You are a fabulous little skier. You are funny as can be, making our family laugh often. You are our special little guy and we love you to the moon and back!!

Presents first thing in the morning are a must!

Miles had several friends over to help him celebrate his big day.

Blowing out the candle with his buddy Rowan by his side.

The highlight of the party was sledding.

A good brother, helping carry up Miles' run away sled.

Racing Dad is always a good time!

One happy birthday boy!!

Ice Fishing

First you have to drill the hole.

Next you set up your fishing hut.

Then you put the pole in and wait.

And wait.

Chilling with Jason.

We didn't catch any fish, but we had fun trying.

Wildernest Christmas party

They get their faces painted every year.

You must sit so still.

Lexi had a great idea of Santa's sleigh and reindeer. Several kids followed her lead and requested the same thing Lexi had.

I think I see Santa...............

Miles got to play Santa's bells.

Of course I've been good all year.....................

Telling Santa his wish list.

I would like.............

Ho, Ho, Ho

Family shot with Santa.

The rest of our time in Kansas

Raking leaves at Great Grandma and Great Grandpa's house.

Raking leaves is something we don't get to do in our mountain town.

The kids loved playing in the leaves.

Daddy playing checkers with his princess. He told her how he remembers playing this chess board in this room when he was about her age.

More playing in the leaves.

Flying leaves.

Miles made a good leaf stomper downer.

We had a blast visiting Grandpa Mike, Great Grandma and Great Grandpa!!

Great Grandpa and Great Grandma took us to the dinosaur exhibit.

They had some really cool displays.

Lexi and Miles enjoyed making the dinosaurs move.

Walking through Union Station.

Great Grandpa was excited to take us to see the model trains at Union Station.

This family spends months setting up their annual Christmas displays and it is amazing!

Going places with Cousin Katie.

Playing at Crown Center.

What a WONDERFUL trip we had!
It was fun watching Troy relive many of his childhood memories!!!
Kansas, we will be back soon..................
