September 11 memorial service

September 11, 2011 marked the 10th anniversary of the day our Nation was attacked.
While we can all remember how we felt and how we came together, these three were not even born.
It is important to teach them why people fight for our freedom and how lucky we are to live in the United State of America.  The Cub Scout Troop was invited to take part in the County's memorial service and dedication of a new memorial to honor those we lost on that dreadful day.
We were honored to be a part of this day.

Standing at attention for over an hour is not an easy thing for anyone to do, especially a Cub Scout, but they did great and paid their respect.
Here the Flight for Life crew had just done a fly over and landed directly behind us.

It was a heart warming day to be able to thank our local fire, police, ambulance, and military men and women.

After the service, the Flight For Life crew invited us over for a tour of their helicopter.
